NoteHole is a personal note-taking app that stores your data locally on your device. Your privacy is important, and this policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and how you remain in full control of your data.
NoteHole stores your notes locally on your device, including note text, timestamps, tags, and starred or to-do status. This information stays on your device unless you choose to export or back it up.
If you enable the optional cloud backup feature, NoteHole saves a single JSON file in your Google Drive under a hidden application folder. This file contains the same note data listed above. The backup is not encrypted. You can delete this file at any time. The developer never has access to your Google Drive or any of the data inside it.
The app does not collect personal identifiers such as your name, email, device ID, phone number, contacts, or location.
Your data is used only to operate the app: creating, displaying, and organizing your notes, and performing backup or restore actions if you choose to use the Google Drive option. Your data is never shared, sold, or used for profiling.
The only third-party service used is Google Drive, and only if you choose to enable backup. NoteHole does not use analytics, crash reporting, ad networks, or external SDKs.
NoteHole requests only the minimal permissions needed for its features. Internet access is used solely for optional cloud backup. Access to your Google Drive occurs only if you choose to perform a backup or restore. The app does not request permissions for contacts, location, notifications, camera, microphone, or storage (except when you manually export notes).
NoteHole does not share your data with anyone and does not sell any information. No data is transmitted to any server controlled by the developer.
Local data is stored inside the app’s private storage on your device. Cloud backups, if enabled, are stored in your own Google Drive as an unencrypted JSON file. You maintain full control over this file.
Your notes remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Cloud backup files in Google Drive remain until you manually remove them. Uninstalling the app does not delete your Google Drive backup.
NoteHole is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect any personal information.
This policy may be updated if the app introduces new features. Updated versions will be published in the same location.
